Vineyard description:

Crosia is on the north slope of the Cannubi hill and shares the geomorphology of the Cannubi vineyard. As it is on the west-northwest side of the hill, it is unsuitable for Nebbiolo, but Dolcetto excels here.

Township: Barolo

Soil: Sand/Clay – like the rest of the Cannubi hill. Excellent drainage and water penetration.

Exposure: West-Northwest

Density: Plants per hectare:

Average Age of vines: 26 years (2010)

Training: Guyot basso

Altitude: 320m

Yields: 50 hl/ha

Area: 0.5 ha

Cannubi: 1st Vintage

LangheLuciano purchased his first plot of the Cannubi vineyard in 1977 and made his first vintage in 1978. These bottles still have the old, traditional label that was replaced in 1985.
